Hey I am getting a new reciever due to death of the old and the new reciever has HDMI out. My PJ is a Sanyo PLV Z2 I am planning on upgrading to a 1080p Projector probably after the 1st of the year. Should I be concerned about any HDMI issues using a DVI cable I have with a HDMI adapter going from the reciever to the PJ???

Its about 22 ft. I have a 25ft DVI cable that I used in my old theater room. I never had an issues with it. I was just worried about HDMI wierdness. Its a very thick cable I think it came from Better Cables. I was just wondering too about when I do upgrade the PJ if it would work as well on a 1080p projector? Having a DVI cable between reciever and pj with 2 hdmi to dvi adaptors

You should have no issues doing what you are doing. Our AVR feeds HDMI out going through an HDMI to DVI adaptor (Monoprice) and then to the projector where is going through another Monoprice adaptor but this time DVI to HDMI. No problems and it is about a 35-foot run of DVI cable.
