hi guys,

I connect my HTPC to Z2 PJ via DVI to HDCP input with res of 1280x720 and I have no problem.

I've in mind to buy a Samsung LCD TV which has the same 1280x720 res and DVI imput.

A friend noticed to me that it is not possible connect HTCP to TV via DVI because of the TV have an HDCP input.

It seems strange to me and I'm looking for a solution to that.

Why PJ works with HDCP input and TV would not?

I think my fried misses some setting, can anybody clear this?

thanks

bye

Do you mean HDMI? HDCP is just a protocol, not a connector.

I have an HTPC with DVI video card (tried both 9600 Pro and PNY 6800) that I hook to my 1280x720 Panasonic PT50-LC14 through HDMI port with no problems at all.

No no, I mean HDCP, connector is DVI.

On TV as well as on PJ there is a DVI head, S-video etc....

By OSD device I can select the input. Well PJ can work with HTPC by DVI when I select HDCP input but TV can't.

I wonder why.

Note that this is not my direct experience but a friend one, so now I'm finding to help him. In future it will help me avoiding to buy a TV which can't work by HTPC via DVI.
