Has anyone on this discussion board ever try hooking up a Video Scaler or Line Doubler to the DVI input of their Sammy? I was wondering if you could possibly improve the picture quality of DVDs by running the signal through a processor first. If you double the lines going into the Sammy, what effect would there be on the processor inside the TV? Could this possibly push the picture quality up to a HD level?:p

I have an Iscan Ultra feeding the DVI input of my Sammy. The PQ from digital cable is improved a bit. I also have the 480i component output of my Pioneer 909 going into the Ultra. The difference in PQ there is very small, if any.

The de-interlacer in the Ultra is used instead of the one in the Sammy. It's certainly not HD--it's 480p. You're not going to double the double, if that's what you were thinking.
