DVI on Zenith P42W46X Slow to display signal..

I just picked up a DVI cable from monoprice.com, 3ft long, nothing special. I have it hooked up to my Time Warner digital cable box to view my HD Channels. Now, when it displays, it looks fantastic.. the problem is, everytime I change the channel, or press guide, it pops up "No Signal" for a second or two, then it displays. EVERYTIME. Thats really f'ing irritating. Is there a reason why? Is the cable lacking in quality? Is it the STBs fault? I thought DVI was supposed to transfer data the fastest..

Thanks again.

The only time this happened to me was when I had my set top box set to output the native channel resolution. If a channel is 720p you'll get 720p out, if its 1080i you'll get 1080i out. The TV has to sync up every time. Also, you'll get a screwed up picture if your box sends out 480i (via DVI)

I now leave mine at 1080i since most HD channels are 1080i (I'll manually switch it 720p if I'm watching Fox, ABC, or ESPN).

Hope this helps!
