i have a samsung dlp and arcam dv79.im using kimber cables component now. i was just wondering if i went to hdmi dvi would it get better yet ?if yes where can a hdmi ti dvi cable (good one)

theoretically, dvi should be better, especially if the native resolutions of dvd and display match. but your mileage may vary.

DVI being better than component is a generalization.

No guarantees. You may find that on your equipment with your cables that component is better.

In principal DVI is the superior connector. Just like in principal HDMI is superior to DVI.

HOWEVER, that assimes that the internal components are sophisticated enough. So a high end component setup will outdo a cheapo DVI one etc.

The real only way to know is do both in your setup and keep the one that's better.
