Has anyone used a DVI Repeater to solve their cable length issue for traditional wire cables (vs Fiber cables). I have found two repeaters one from DVIGEAR:

I have found the gefen repeater for the low $300 range.
I also noticed most of the Distribution amps claim to be able to drive a 25' - 50' cable. Has anyone used one of these to overcome a distance limitation between the DVI sources and their DVI projector?
