Is there a PQ advantage using DVI from Sony HD200 rather than component other than watching future copy protected stuff? If I use my pre-proc as a switch then I don't think I can use DVI. If DVI has better PQ then it would be worth it but it greatly increases WAF if things are fairly automatic and I let the Pre-Proc do the auto sensing switching.

Theoretically, it should be better--it keeps the picture in the digital domain for as long as possible, though it has to be converted to analog in your television (unless, of course, your television's display tech is digital, like DLP or LCoS).

Now, as to whether most people could discern the difference with most equipment is another matter. As yet, I haven't heard a single reviewer exclaim over how much clearer DVI was opposed to analog component video. Of course, most reviewers realize that DVI might be used by the studios to curtail copying, so they might be loath to say anything positive about it.
