Anybody know if the Dish 921 DVR has a screen saver mode when pausing video, or will I have to buy a Roku HD1000?

The 921 is based on large parts of the 721 code base. This is based on Linux and X Window. In the current 721 release the X Window screen savers are enabled. In fact they set it to random, so it cycles through all the X Window screen savers, including some of the really goofy ones. I would assume the 921 will be similar to the 721.
