Hi all,

I have a Radeon 32DDR with the new 7089 Driver.

As I heart, this Driver support DXVA from the new Cineplayer 4.0 and ATI player 5.0.

But I can't see a different enable/disable DXVA in the registry.

HKEY_LOKAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/RAVISENT/CINEMASTER DS DVD/1.0/VideoDecoder/UseDXVA

What can I do??

At the moment, I use the Cineplayer 4.0, Windows 98 SE on a Pentium III 733 Mhz.

Thank you very much for your help !

I will look for the exact settings but

there are two places you have to enable

DXVA for it to work. The one you found,

and other in the ATI driver area

like HKEY_LOKAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ATI/(something or other)...

In both places you set Use_DXVA to "1" instead of "0".

Once both are enabled you should be able to

do the Cineplayer 4 "setup" menu then the

"information" tab and scroll down to see

if it says

"hardware acceleration: DXVA iDCT"

Here are the two exact reg settings I had

to change for Cineplayer4 "DXVA iDCT" to

enable:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\

ATI Technologies\\DirectX VA\\DXVA=1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Ravisent\\

CineMaster DS DVD\\1.0\\VideoDecoder\\UseDXVA=1
