anyone have an experience using dynamic disks. I didn't realize XP pro had a built in raid function.
The one that I am most interested in is The mirrored dynamic option for critical data.
The two main questions that I have is adding storage and replacing storage. If a disk fails, is it fairly easy to add a replacement. I would assume it would have to be of equal size.
The second is upgrading. Lets say I have 500gb and 750gb in a system. If I mirrored them I would assume it would only show up as 500gb. I replace the 500gb with a 1TB, would it automatically resize itself to 750GB? Or would I have to transfer the files over?
oh.. after doing some reading, mirrored on not supported on XP Pro. Oh well, guess I will just do it the old fashoned way.
