I think the 52, at the time I checked a while back were 1K, the 52SE were 1400.

The 52SE is a completely different speaker, and is WELL worth the extra money. I use the 52SE and auditioned both along with B&W 705, studio 20 V3, (along with the older predecessors to the B&W and V3 studio series, but they were bested by the newer stuff).

The 52SE has a much better tweeter, and the bass driver from the contour 1.3MKII. It is an absolutely fabulous speaker, and probably the biggest bargain in the dynaudio line, IMO. Definitely a worthy leap from the 52, which is on it's own a great speaker.

I have a pair of 52SE. They are awesome sounding. They share the cabinet with the regular 52, but nothing else. The 52SE use Contour drivers and xover. Excellent buy for the money.

I also have a pair of 72, and other than the 72 having deeper bass, the 52SE are superior in every other regard. I'm now thinking about getting a pair of the new 72SE to replace the 72. I actually use my 52SE as side surrounds in a 7.1 setup.

How much did you guys pay for a pair of 52SE's?

I have a pair of 72's in my stereo listening room, but now I'm looking for new speakers for my HT in the family room.

MSRP on the 52Se is $1400. How Dynaudio dealers discount them varies. I typically get 10% off from my dealer, but I'm also a long-time customer.
