Has anyone noticed a shift towards red when going to

HD HBO? Any ideas, solution? Thanks

I just had the color decoder in my Mits 65907 adjusted (to control red push), and yes, I believe that the 6000, as well as the PVR 501, both have slight red push. I've also noticed a bit of Y/C delay error as well in the 6000.

I've only had the 6000 several days but notice and adjust for the excess red.

I use a G70 and so have no access to controls other

than for brightness and contrast for HD. The SD

signal goes thru a scaler that does allow adjustments

for color, hue, sharpness. Am I stuck?

Also, has anyone noted more softness and lack of detail

in the dish signals. ? compression/bandwith problems.

Is Direct better?. If so, some of the combined systems

approach may be best. Ideas?? Thanks.

hmars,

That was the primary reason I switched back to DTV. I too noticed more softness in the picture on Dish than that of DTV. Keep in mind that I am certainly not saying the average DTV (non HD) channel is sharp!

After several days with dish, I would agree that it is softer than DTV but with fewer artifacts. I find it better to zoom on the picture than DTVs pic on a 34" screen.
