E*6000 Horizontal lines problem

I have been lately experiencing horizontal lines flickering throughout my display. I believe it is the 6000 box, because in another room I have a regular Dish box connected to an analog TV with no such problems, and my TV (Sony KV-32XBR400) shows no such problem showing DVDS. I am in the Silicon Valley, aimed at 110/119/148.


Anybody else experiencing this? Any ideas?

Which channel(s) are you seeing this on? The other thing to ask is whether the output on the 6000 is matched to what the Sony is expecting (RGB vs. YPrPb) and if you have tried adjusting the display (Menu-6-1-9-Adjust). Some have reported this clearing up a great many ills.

Thanks for the reply. This happens only in SD mode (I am using an S-Video cable), and on ALL channels, including the menu!. OTA channels (I looked only at the digital ones) are fine, and all channels in HD mode are fine.


The setup is correct (component), the same as it has been for a long time. The ADJUST function seems to be relevant to HD only, and not SD.
