Is there a way to hook up my e-80 so that I can watch tv with the recorder off?

I use a TWC cable box and have the s cable from the box to the recorder and then on to the TV. If the recorder is off I can't get a picture on this TV input setting althoug I do get a picture on all other inputs, HD, dvd, etc.

Here is my setup and I don't have to have the recorder or the VCR on to watch TV. Channels are controlled by the cable box. Picture is great.


Coax to Cable box

Coax from cable box to E80H

Coax from E80H to VCR

Coax from VCR to TV

Composite Audio and S Video from E80H to TV L1

The only connection that is pass through with the E-80 off is the coax (RF) connection.
