When I went to bed earlier in the evening my E-86 APG time was correctly changed to Daylight Savings Time. Just got up and turned the TV on, and now everything is operating back on Eastern Standard Time. My DTC-100 is showing the correct time. I'm wondering if this is a DIRECTV issue or an E-86 issue? Anyone else seeing this with other model HD receivers?

My issue is slightly different. My Sony SAT HD200 hasn't updated it's time by one hour to account for the time change. So it's saying it's 9:47pm right now instead of 10:47. I've toggled the daylight savings switch on and off but with no change on the clock.

When I turned on the TV this evening, I noticed that my SR-HD5 was still showing Pacific Standard Time. Oddly enough, the entire guide was also shifted one hour earlier, i.e., programs that were supposed to start at 8:00 PM were showing a start time of 7:00 PM. But since the HD5 was showing 7:00 PM when it was actually 8:00 PM, everything was copacetic.

I decided to reboot to see if that solved the DST thing. After it rebooted, it showed the time correctly ... for about two minutes, and then it reverted back to standard time. I don't recall having this problem last fall.

It can't be a DirecTV issue, since I also have two SAT-T60 DirecTiVos, and both of them are showing the correct time.

Man, I LOVE this forum!!! :D

I too have noticed this as of about 9 pm last night. I was watching Atlantis and had *issues* with the Philly oTA feed. THen, at about 11pm EST, I noticed the guide said it was "10pm". I did a reboot, reloaded the APG and it said the correct time. I looked at it at around midnight and it said "10:58 pm " when it was really "11:58 pm".

The SHOWS themselves were listed properly...but not the time. Maybe it's a database issue? It's still screwed up as of now...6:36 am.

I have a Hughes E86. I went in to the setup menu to the clock setup and switched Daylight Savings time to "on". I haven't read that section of the manual, but I assume I will have to switch Daylight Savings Time off this Fall. It doesn't appear to be an automatic function.

My HD5 was still having the same problem this morning. I tried turning the Daylight Savings Time toggle off and on with no result (maybe this is broken?).

For me, the worse part of the time not showing correctly is that I use the scheduler to switch stations every day for each program during prime time .. NBC for Friends at 8:00 PM, CBS for CSI at 9:00 PM, etc. With the time wrong, this meant that it was changing to the wrong channel at the wrong time last night.

I finally just set my time zone to Mountain instead of Pacific and the time shows correctly. At least this will work for now.

Crash - I've had my HD-5 for almost two years now and have been through four time changes. I've always had the DST toggled on and the previous three time changes occurred automatically with no problem.

Ken Erickson - as I indicated in my previous post, I also have two DirecTiVos (DirecTV receivers with TiVo) and both of them have had no problem with the time. If the problem is with DirecTV, maybe they're having problems setting the time on HD receivers only.

That's possible, Tom, that it affects HD receivers only. I didn't check my SD receivers to know for sure, but my ReplayTV didn't have a problem with the time change at all, and it's connected to a SD receiver. I know it's not a standalone unit like yours is (receiver built-in with Tivo), but perhaps your DirecTivo clocks take their cue from Tivo rather than DirecTV. My ReplayTV updates its clock every night when it does its net connect.
