Hey all!

I have 4 HT Design Hamilton theater chairs and I am looking at putting Earthquake MQB-1s on the chairs.

They are a little tight underneith (See attached photo, chair is leaned forward).

Would it work to put them inside the armrest as pictured in the second photo? I was thinking mount it in the orientation pictures, but slightly elevated. I'm not sure if this would be ideal or not (Would it feel like the kick came from your left?).

Thanks,

Nate

I had the same combo and just couldn’t find the right spot to mount them. Ended up selling them. Not a good chair to mount to. Went with Crowsons that fit underneath the frame.

Sold the chairs or the MQB-1s?
Mqb1s. You won’t like the feel of them mounted in the armrests. Also I could localize where I mounted them. Since you can’t mount in the middle I didn’t like the feel of them being off center. These transducers are nice but they should be used with the bracket. Can you build a platform for under the chairs?

I think I can run a 1/2” board across the metal bar and mount it on there.

There is enough room that the feet will still contact the floor instead of the board. The only question is if I can orientate the MQB-1 such that it doesn’t interfere with the reclining mechanism.

How did you make out with this? Honestly my biggest gripe was the volume changing and the intensity I could never get right. Certain movies they were fine and then others way too powerful. I love the ht market chairs but they are a pain to mount anything to. I ended up with a used set of Crowson that slide under the chair. These work better for me but they are pricey.
