Hello All,

I need a little help from all you ECP set up guys or gals. Is it me or am I expecting to much from my ECP 4000? I just recently upgraded my ECP-4000 with new CRTs, software, and with a new Vidikron case thanks to Rob Seaman from Projectionist Specialist in NJ. Is there any way to stabilize the convergence on the ECP series? It seems to hold the convergence but not at the optimum position.with continuous use.

Do a check on the forum here, a proper physical set up is mandatory for convergence stabilization, but even with everything you've done, you're still dealing with a chassis that has ageing parts and 15 year technology in it...

You might consider looking for a cheap ECP 4500 and put your new tubes and case on it, the performance will be significantly improved..

Make absolutely sure that you're not using ANY green convergence.

Have you changed the Dallas ship? The battery in there lasts only about 10 years so it may be worth a try. Only about $25.

What software did you upgrade to? I upgraded from v0.9 to v2.2 on my ECP4000 just recently. In order to make full use of it I had to also replace about four boards for newer designs. The convergence is much better now but is still off until the PJ is fully warmed up...
