Yes there are differences, and they may or may not work. I've had compatibility issues even between exact model numbers, but it can't hurt to try. Worst case you'll get a scrambled pix if they are not compatible.

ECP3100 Remote Board 50 1872 05P Question
Hi,
is there any difference between the Remote Board Part 50 1872 05P and 50 1872 01P???
The 50 1872 05P is from a ECP2100
And the 50 1872 01P is from a ECP4000
which one is the better one and can i exchange them?
Another question is there a chip missing or is the empty socket normal???
