I have just injected an EDGE via HDMI between my FiOS 6416 and 40XBR2 and even when both of them are thinking they are off, the EDGE LED stays blue, indicating it's processing. This strikes me as odd. Folks? Thanks.
Well the FIOS box is probably not completly off and still sending an HDMI stream. Could just be a blank screen but it's still a valid HDMI signal that the Edge sees and stays on. I don't have an Edge but the VP50pro I have works the same way.
No cable or satellite box is ever 100% off or "unplugged" They are always communicating with the cable or receiving data from the satellite. Some kill the video outputs completly when turned off and some may just blank the video but still leave sync present. Even on HDMI there is still "sync" It's just a code string versus the analog sync signal.
