after years of buildup From Software finally unveiled Elden Ring today at the Summer Game Fest...George RR Martin consulted with From Software for this game...From Soft is my favorite game developer and all their games are amongst my all time favorites- Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro

Elden Ring is coming out on February 25, 2022

Looks pretty good, but seems to be pretty easy to veer from the linear story and get lost in the main goal.

Boos fights look pretty tough. Certainly doesn’t look like jack and slash and seems to be more strategy based.

Assassins creed + elder scrolls x dark souls = elden ring?

It's got that Bloodborne/DS3 really gangly arms and legs movement going on. I watched the guy playing the test. It looks amazing. I can't wait. I hate DLC, I prefer to wait for game of the year versions that has everything in one purchase. But, I may just dive in at the start because I love souls games.

Seeing that dragon swoop in, gave me a Dragon's Dogma vibe. If there's never a DD2 I hope we can at least get a game that has some monster climbing in it.

George R.R. Martin thinks Elden Ring 'looks incredible'

In a blog post, Martin acknowledged that it has been a bit since he wrote the mythos and backstory for Elden Ring, and the man admits he loves worldbuilding...having now seen the fruits of what the collaboration made, Martin seems quite pleased...

a few developers/games are worth full price for me- From Software is at the top of that list...starting with Dark Souls they haven't made a bad game

I think I won't be able to pre-load. Need to wait until I get the email with game license from GMG.

Elden Ring is a spectacle and a marvel to behold...although there are some issues, the overall experience remains deeply engaging...it's one of the best open-world games I have ever played

there are some notable performance problems...to be fair, I can achieve 50-60 fps with an Intel 10900K, Nvidia RTX 3080, and 32 GB RAM, all while playing on the highest settings at 4K resolution...unfortunately, micro stutters and framerate drops can be fairly troublesome...they only last a split second, but they’re sometimes jarring when they occur as I’m crossing cliffside paths or fighting bosses...Score: 10
