I am planning my home theater along with a remodel and have been given some advice from a custom home theater expert with regard to electical wiring. If anyone can vet this advice, I'd be greatly appreciative.
I will be hanging 3 plasma TV's in different rooms and have been advised to install recessed clock outlets where the TV's will hang. These recessed clock outlets will connect to what are essentially long "extension cords" that will terminate in my home run room in a female plug in which I can plug in a filter or surge protector. The three plasma's would then be powered/protected by the filter/surge protector (Monster or Panamax). All of these, I'm told, should be grounded with the same ground.
Does this seem logical and the correct way to design the electrical?
