Hi there. First time poster to this forum. I'm looking to upgrade my Yamaha RXV 1000, and I'm currently comparing the 45tx and 3803. I know this comparison has been previously covered in detail. I've done a search on this forum as well as a few others, so I know both sides have their fans.

My question is (are): is there anywhere on the net that I can find detailed specs on the Elite 45TX (ie, all the specs including unit dimensions, etc). From what I could see the 45tx is not on the list for downloadable manuals on the Pioneer site, and other sites just have the very basics.

Also, does the fact that the 45tx has .09 % THD over the Denons .05 ( my Yamaha has .04), make a real difference? Another concern about the Denon is the fact that even with 7 amps, it weighs only 3lbs more than my 5-channel Yamaha. Thanks for listening.

I seriously doubt it. IMO, most amp specs on receivers are, well, less than useful.

No way you could hear a difference in .09-.05-.04 even if they were true measurements. You would hear other differences like processing way before that little of a difference of THD.

I believe most if not all relevant features have been discussed. The major problem with each has been addressed. After reading other threads, you should listen to the receivers to make your decision.
