I have a SC-67... IMHO, the SC-77 is not worth the additional $500 ... Altho, I would take a serious look at their top line model....

Elite SC-77 > SC-67 by $500?
I asked this on SC-67 thread with no response... I am in a dilemma, I can get SC-77 or SC-67 both discounted, while 67 has a bigger discount from last year's MSRP... so can get 67, or pay $500 more for SC-77... is it worth it?

SC-79 would have 100% be worth the extra $500... I really find the overall Elite line has been diluted over the last few years, like no gold-plate connectors, or good speakers terminals unless you get the top-line model? Are you serious?

- ESS Sabre32 DAC
- THX Ultra vs. Select
- 4K upscaling vs. pass-through
- Win8 support (not sure exactly what that means)
- Spotify
- App has iPod Push, meaning you can directly play iTunes music from the app, instead of Airplay
- SC-77 has "Low Leakage Flux Power Transformer"

I think you just have to put a value on the features. I would be amazed if there were a whit of sonic difference.
With HDMI 2.0 around the corner, is it even worth it getting the latest? Do u think its even possible to get the HDMI upgrade via firmware update?

almost certainly that HDMI 2.0 = new chipsets
Got a SC-67, for just a grand! Great deal, couldn't refuse. How do I get Spotify on the 67? Through PC or iPad.
