I wonder if this is the material discussed here some months back which was developed by a N. European fellow IIRC.
Sounds promising and credible from the description of the technology and the fact that they give believable spec's, some of which are

Thickness 0.3 mm

Min. Lens-Throw-Ratio 1.8:1
