I own an LPA-1 and love it. Well worth twice it's price. You won't find anything that can touch it at $449. I actually brought several amps home before settling on the LPA-1 (some costing in excess of $2000). Very well made amp backed by a company that provides excellent customer service. I'm thinking about buying another.

Did the LPA-1 SOUND better than the other ones? I assume you went with what sounded best. I am considering their new XMC-1 pre-pro at $999 if it ever comes out paired with their big MPS-2 amp at $1699. Apparently that would be a mighty fine combo for $2700. But the whole thing with me is SOUND. Do you think your rig sounds better than Pioneer or Marantz receivers? And re price, I'll have anything I buy for 10 yrs, so an extra grand for the Emotivas over a receiver would be an extra $100 per year. Well worth it if it sounds better, I feel.
