The UMC200 was problematic (doesn't have Atmos/ 4k switching either not sure if that matters to you). You can replace it with a mc-700 that does do 4k switching but still no atmos for $729. Honestly for that much money I would look for something with Atmos though maybe used. The newer Emotiva processors look quite nice however. The XPA5 is a great amp however. I use one in my system and it is a great bang for the buck amp. Rated at 200RMS all channels driven.

hello im a newbie and came across a emotive umc 200(not turning on) and a emotive xpa-5 gen 2. i am in the process of fixing the umc200. is this a good brand/setup. I originally got the amp because of its 200 watt per channel but the guy gave me the pre amp free. I currently have a budget elite vsx 101. should I replace with the emotiva ??? don't really know the brand.
