Yes, I'm embarrassed I bought this.


I'm a sucker for b movies and movies you leave your brain at the door but this was one of the most boring predictable, bad acting, waist Ive seen in a long time. I cannot believe the studios budget for something of this caliber.


Why did I buy it you ask...because I was board and had not bought anything in a while so I went on a spree buying 3 new titles never expecting something could be this bad. Normally you would see me complaining about a bad video transfer and never commenting on story line or acting. If a title has a great transfer I'm into the experience but this was the exception. Normaly seeing video artifacts removes me from the viewing experience but this time it was the movie

Transfer is OK. Has more of a video look to it then film.


Not to offend anyone but I cannot recommend this unless your 15 or under. JS career is going nowhere fast. All her dads hard work has led to this

Like Beerfest, Accepted.. etc.



Cranks was good tho

High tier movies mean little to me.


Unless they have better than 6.0 MQ.

Some of you guys need to learn to relax and just have a good laugh. I guess it's all up to your sense of humor though. I can laugh at stupid comedies, I'm not a movie critic, and I don't pretend to be one either. I liked the movie, I laughed my ass off and that's what matters to me with a movie like this.

I liked it. Reminded me of when I used to work in retail. *yuck* Anyways, I can only recommend this as a rental. What's worse, I saw the guy in this movie (forget his name) trying to do stand-up comedy. If I were there live, I would've 'egged' him.

I see most replying enjoyed the movie. Ill have to give it another shot. Maybe I will like it better the second time around. Here Im complaining this title yet I have watched Animal House

(I have both formats, not a fan boy ether, support both ) 5 times over and love it yet its no better

in content and many may feel its worse. Who knows what makes us tic

I wouldn't bother. If you thought it s*cked enough to post about it, you're not going to like it the second time around. You've already wasted the time spent viewing it. Why double the wasted time? Life is short, watch something else.

LGF has done a real good job on their recent releases. Crank has got to be the best looking that I've seen out of either format (and I own over 50 discs between the two). Employee seems to be more of an issue with the way that the movie was filmed -- the part that got me was that the behind-the-scenes extras, the quality is MUCH greater than that of the actual film (much crisper image, more detail, brighter more vibrant colors and no video noise or grain).


With that said, I'm looking forward to both Saw 2 and Saw 3 but have a feeling they may suffer from similar issues as employee as I can see them as having been shot with an intentionally dark/grainy look to them. I'm hoping the Blu Ray versions are worth the extra price over the DVD releases.

I am a huge fan of stupid comedies.


However, this movie IMHO just wasn't funny and was pretty boring. I guess I just hyped myself since Dane Cook was the lead actor. Dane is sooo funny, but for some reason, this movie wasn't humorous at all to me.

The whole idea of working in a large "costco" store could be hilarious, however I this movie didn't deliver.

Can anyone let me know the absolute cheapest place they have found this movie. Ive only seen a couple of copies on Ebay. I bought the rest of the weeks new releases at Walmart and Best buy but Walmart isnt carrying employee of the month and even though everything else new this week was 24.99 at my best buy, this movie was 34.99

Why don't you buy Alan Gouger's copy? That's probably your best bet.
