Does anyone know how to take AVCHD files (recorded in 1080i on a flash HD camcorder) and put them into a format that can be viewed on the Apple TV in 720P (or 1080i)?
I found an old thread on another forum which almost got me there, but I'm not sure I'm getting the best quality because the software they mentioned has been upgraded/changed since then and I may not have gotten some of the newer settings set properly.
Basically, I have read that TMPEnc 4 Express, along with the correct KLite codecs will work. However, I found that the resulting .mp4 file needed to then be 'converted' within iTunes to be playable on the AppleTV. This made me suspect I didn't do something correctly and could be affecting quality.
