No matter what I use to try and get it to turn on it still does not. Any suggestions? I am using a Yamaha RX-V1500 reciever. I am getting pretty tired of having to turn it on and off everytime! Thanks for your help.
Have you balanced your system? What is your line level output set at? Are you using the LFE input? You need to provide more info so we can understand what may be wrong.
Sorry it has taken me a while respond. I have been extremely busy at work. My system is balanced. I am using the LFE input. Crossover settings are at 60 and the volume knob on the woofer is at about 1/2. If there is anything that I left out please let me know. Thank you for your help!
I knew I would forget something! I used the auto-setup feature on my yamaha rx-v1500 and know I cant figure out how to go back and check what it set the settings at. I guess I will need to go through the manual again to figure it out. I will get back with you as soon as I can.
Ok...I cant find anywhere in the manual where it will let me go back to check the auto settings. I even re-did the auto set-up but it is not telling me the line level output is! What do you think I need to do? Thank you once again for your help!
Try turning up the receiver until the sub turns on. If it turns on with the receiver playing pretty loud, then the sub output is to low on the receiver's end. Assuming it does come on when you turn the receiver up pretty loud, you'll need to figure out how to raise the signal being output by the receiver. Also, i had an Audio Source sub that was very finicky about auto-on, and i ran a Y-splitter at the sub , connected to right and left inputs and this made the sub fire-up much easier. Just try turning the reiceiver up , making sure the sub is in auto mode of course, and if it comes on, at least you'll know the auto on circuitry is functioning. Then the above to get it working right. GL
