What are your Audyssey settings now?

Try a different subwoofer cable?

turn the volume down on your sub and rerun Audyssey so that the sub channel level is a little higher.

Adjust the sub channel level maually on the receiver so that it is higher.

Get a Y adapter and connect to both red/white inputs on sub input. This will boost the incoming signal by 3db.

ill try replacing the cable first. it only happens on direct tv. i notice it happens more often watching tv food network than other channels. it doesnt happen with my dvd player or blu ray player though.

as far as that adapter. i dont think my sub has those left and right inputs. i bought it from costco and its a downfiring sub, supposedly the same one that comes with the take energy 5.1 speaker system. ill have to check when i get home. thanks
