Guys, just wondering which speaker company makes a more 'musical' speaker. To me it seems like (due to marketing perhaps) that energy might not be as high end as the Paradigm, but after looking through their catalog they do look pretty solid. What are your impressions of both?

Energy speakers are anything but harsh sounding. Smooth, mellow, laid back, neutral would be more of a common definition.

The C-500 can be found below

RC-50 can be found below in different colors

By all accounts the RC has better build quality and is more refined than the C-500.

Haven't heard anything but Paradigm bookshelf speakers but I recall them being brighter than the Energy speakers. Its been a while though.

Both are Canadian brands, although Energy was bought out by Klipsch, and I recall both used the NRC facilities at least when they began. They both strived for neutral sound.

Looks like a helluva deal!!

I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but I have no need for them.

I own Digm's but I like Energy also. For the price of those Energy's I wouldn't pass that up! I don't think you'll find a deal like that on Digms.
