Honestly, only you are going to be able to that question. I may think the 6750's are better than the 705's, but you may think the complete opposite. It's all subjective and a matter of opinion. My advice is to search out those 705's and go listen to them. Chose the one that you like best.

Entry level speakers help: Polk RM705 vs. RM6750
Hi everyone,
I've done some searching here and on the net and large and haven't been able to find any info on this anywhere. So I thought I'd ask.
Locally, I can get the Polk RM705 set for about $50 more (used) than I can get the RM6750 from Amazon. The speakers will be running on an Onkyo 606, and are admittedly entry level. Just need something to get rolling and will, over time, likely upgrade the speakers.
Would that $50 extra be money well spent? Is there a great deal of difference between the 6750s and the 705s? I listened to the 6750s at Circuit City last week and, once I adjusted some of the levels on the receiver, they had a pretty nice sound. Would the 705 significantly beat that?
Any advice would be great! Thanks!

True enough. I was more looking to see if people knew some more objective things about the 705s since there's like nothing about it anywhere online, such as build quality, subwoofer's ability to handle bass, etc.
Just FYI, I don't know the price you're looking at for the RM6750's but I picked up a set last week for $180. Fry's has them for $200 and with a 110% price match at Circuit City, it brought it to $180. I haven't listened to them yet though... still trying to figure out which receiver to get.
So did u complete ur setup ? A friend of mine is also confused between RM6750 and RM705. You input might help him. Personally he is inclined towards 705s.
