I have a Denon avr3311 connected via lfe cable to a velodyne sms1, wich then is connected to my Behringer EP4000 via balanced xlr cable, then connected via 12g speaker cable to my diy Maelstrom 18 w/ PRs. It sounds great, however, I'm getting a noise from the sub. I don't know if I would call it a hum, it is more like gurggling sound. It is not a static constant tone, but I have never heard what others consider common amplifier hum. If I disconnect the xlr cable from the EP4000, it goes away. But, if I just turn off my receiver and leave the cable plugged in, it still makes the noise. Just want to see where I should start looking/researching. My second question is if any harm would be done by leaving the behringer power on for long periods of time with everything else off, since I cannot turn it off and on with my Harmony one. I believe just the fan would be running, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance everyone.
