I'd love to watch some double features during an upcoming vacation.

Specifically, Epic movies followed by a spoof of that movie.

Any suggestions?

Here's mine

The Corsican Brothers

followed by
Start The Revolution Without Me

(Unfortunetly I don't think either one is out on DVD yet ) :(

Good selections, Chris! Don't you have the last one backwards- or is that intentional?? :D

One could add:

Robin Hood (w/ Douglas Fairbanks- the Kevin Costner is already a parody)

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

Getting a bit less specific:

Any episode of VH1: Behind The Music

This Is Spinal Tap

Any Historical Epic

History of the World, Pt.1

(lots of Mel Brooks here!)

Any vintage 60's Hong Kong action film

What's Up, Tiger Liily?

I would add Woody Allen's Love and Death, but that's more of a book parody than any specific film (or genre)...
