First off my apoligies to any Star War fans without a sense of humour. I love the series and will watch the next one, but this article made me laugh and nod my head a little too.

I'm now convinced Ed Wood could've done the first two better than Lucas. Great article.

I'm convinced that *I* could do a better job than Lucas, and I know nothing about directing and producing a movie other than what I see in "making of" documentaries. :p

Don't fret. Paul Thomas Anderson said he learnt far more about filmmaking by listening to Laserdisc audio commentaries than by attending film school. ;)

Great article! So many nails hit squarely on the head. I especially liked the crouton scene.

I say hand Episode III's post production over to Steve Oedekerk. Quickly.

but if necessary Lucas could probably be tricked by telling him that Joseph Campbell is waiting with a documentary crew to massage Lucas’ ego by interviewing him about his wonderful mythic imagination.

Have Speilberg contribute and maybe we can get all those light sabres changed to walkie talkies.

What do you mean changed!?!?!

Those guns were always walkie talkies, I mean implying that anything has been changed is preposterous. . . What do you mean how did I know there used to be guns??

Say what you will about Spielberg, but at least he allowed the original version of ET to be released on dvd along with the SE version and didn't try to pretend it never existed.

True, I was just kidding. (Though he DID think making a PC version was necessary. He DOES lose points for that.)
