Does the 8345 have inorganic panels?

I am replacing Epson 6100. Could get 8345 new for $900 shipped, 8350 refurb shipped for $975 or 8350 new shipped for $1300. I would rather save money and buy the 8345, but if the 8350 would last twice as long because of better panels, it may be the better buy.

Please advise.

Cheers!

Epson has been using the C2 Fine Technology (inorganic) panels in all of their home theater projectors since 2010.

Thanks for the reply. My 6100 has a D7 chip, as does the 8345/8350. Is the C2Fine just an inorganic refinement of the same tech?

Yes.

Would an 8350 refurb be $75 better than a new 8345?

Over the years since the Epson 8350 and 8345 were released there has been discussions on whether they are essentially the same projector. There are really no U.S. reviews on the Epson 8345 but an Australian review (updated in August 2013) compared the two projectors known there as the TW3200 (8345) and TW3600 (8350).

Here is the review link.
