Epson Home 10

I'm a college student on a budget, and I was looking for a good project at a low cost. I wanted to stick with 16:9 projectors, anything I would watch on it would be a DVD or HDTV (hopefully), I have no interest in watching the history channel at 100".

The epson home 10 just recieved a favorable review at projectorcentral, so I have a few questions about lower resolution projectors like the home 10 and the sanyo z1. I'm used to watching TV on a 25" tube, and all I really want is a solid 60" picture, but all reviewers tend to talk about PQ at 100".

What is watching an 848x480 resolution picture at 60" like? Is it comparable to watching a 1280x720 picture at 100"? Anyone have any thoughts on any of this?

running at 60" will give you a better picture than 100". It will be brighter and the contrast will be better. Better than xga, cant say...
You've hit the only hot button (besides prices) this board has: If not 100 inches, why are you here? I look forward to reading the responses.
This projector seems to be positioning itself somewhere between the X1's and the Z2's. It should certainly appeal to anyone who is looking for a budget 16:9 unit & doesn't care too much about true HD resolutions. PC sure "gushed" over this unit, so it would be nice to get a couple of real AVS user reviews here.
In this forum CMRA is the dean of Z1 advocates. Search for CMRA and read what he says about the Z1 and smaller screens. To find these you must pass through the Valley of Misty Evenings but he's well worth the effort. Here's an example:
