Hello.

I would like help in choosing a projector for use in home cinema (films, ps4 or 5), my room has an area of 25 m².
the projector will be at a distance of 4.5 meters (15 feet)
The room is dark and I will have no lighting problems.

the whole room is dark. gray walls and ceilings. the projection screen is 3.0 x 1.80 meters = 140 "

the projector will be on the ceiling.

which one do you think would get better?

Epson Home Cinema 3800 OR BenQ TK850 ?

Don't decide on a screen size before seeing on the wall for a while.

General ratio is 10-12" (or higher) for every foot in distance.
If the seating is also 15' than the usual screen size is 150-180". If the wall does not fit a screen that size then move the seating closer.

Check with the calculator to make sure everything is fine:

The TK850 has 60-80ms lag, which is too much IMO.

So the answer is 5050UB. Because the room can handle a projector with ok blacks/contrast.

Did you mean hc 3800 ??
the 5050ub is twice the price.

about the screen size, can't you adjust it with the projector's zoom?

I already have a 140 "screen and I don't intend to buy another one.

Don't understand what you mean by adjust it with the zoom. It's not about that. It's about how far away you sit from the screen.

If you can get the 5050, get it, it's a great unit.

If the seating distance is 15' then sell the screen/return it and get a bigger one or use the wall.
Paints can be used on the wall.
