There's been a lot of talk about equalizing the sub-woofer range, and comments about the Behringer BFD having noise issues when used above the low frequencies. What equalizers (graphic or parametric) are available that are clean enough to use for the main L&R speakers? There's an ART 355(?) dual channel 31-band eq for a bit over $200. Has anybody used that with good results? Others?

Behringer makes a more expensive EQ aimed at full spectrum equalization. I don't know the specific model number, and I've never heard much talk about it, much less heard it in person.

You want to be very careful trying to equalize full-range response of a hi-fi system. I would conservatively estimate that 99.99% of the time, the system sounds worse with EQ than without.

There's been a lot of talk about this here. Do a search for 'TACT' 'Room EQ' or 'Ultracurve'.

Personally, I think room EQ can be of considerable value.
