I'm looking to build a theater in my bonus room. I have a lot of equipment from my old setup, but i don't have a good place to put all the equipment (reciever, dvd, xbox, etc..). I was thinking of building a custom bookshelf in the dormer access area. I could easily feed the wires up to the ceiling for the projector.

This area has insulation on the walls/floor but not on the roof. What sort of considerations should I make before installing everything in there? I was also contemplating keeping the door, and having everything hidden (using RF remotes, etc). I'm mainly worried about heat in that area. Ideas/Thoughts?

Thanks

A frequent solution to the heat issue is a silent bathroom exhaust fan controlled by an attic fan line voltage thermostat ($20).

The only issues are finding a route for the ductwork and drilling an exhaust hole somewhere. They do make exterior under the eaves exhausts that once painted would be pretty unnoticeable.
