About 3 months ago, we got the latest Moxi Box from Charter. I ended up adding a Fantom GF1000EU 1TB hard drive to it. About a month ago, there was what appears to be a software update. The Moxi software version is now 4.1c.2.26C3R-P.296432.


Ever since that update happened, I've been having trouble with the external hard drive. The hard drive is recognized, it gets formated and then works fine for a few days and then the Moxi doesn't recognize it. I disconnect it, reconnect it and have to re-format it again, losing everything on it.


This has happened 5 times since the upgrade and I'm at a loss. Any ideas or suggestions? Charter Customer Service wasn't any help.

I'm having the same problem. I have an eSATA drive that worked fine for a year and then after an update it needs reformating all the time and the Moxi will just freeze. I replaced the external drive but it didn't help.


Any thoughts?

When I talked to a charter tech I was told the problem was probably a bad drive, a bad cable, or a bad esata port on the moxi. I changed the drive and cable but when that didn't work the Charter tech hooked me up and sent out a new moxi box. All hooked up and working great.
