Hi guys!First all, i thank all people as it's my first post in this forum and i hope that it doesn't be the last!

I'm interested about in ESPN broadcast 3D and specially in how make it them. I'm talking about the technics side by side or top and bottom. I've read in other webs that ESPN use top and bottom whereas that in others, they make it in side by side

I can't put external information until i have at least three post...

I'm really interested in these issues and i'd thanks a final and correct answer!

Regards

Thanks Carl Jones. Do you have some reference about it? Articles, notices, links to web pages,...I'm making a project about 3D broadcasters in the world and i have to quote the sources of information. If you'd give one reference it'd be perfect for my.Thank you very much.

Thanks for your answers. But i keep to having a doubt: I have read that Directv have launched four channels in which they emit contents in 3D and in side by side. One of those channels is ESPN 3D. By the other hand, we know already that ESPN 3D use top and bottom for their broadcasts in 3D. If Directv use side by side and ESPN 3D use top and bottom it doesn't any sense!!Someone can explain this because i don't understand nothing..

Thank you very much

DirecTV broadcasts their 3D programin in the format it is received in from their suppliers all of which supply it in 30fps 1080i SbS except for ESPN-3D which supplies it in 60fps 720p TnB to mazimize the frame rate and resolution of horizontal sports action. ESPN also uses 60fps720p in all of its HD broadcasts.

This weekend they went to SBS. I think it was after the Fiesta Bowl, because I'm sure I choose top/bottom for the game.

Also, the second half was technically better with fewer glitches and drop outs on my end. Now if only Uverse can get their audio synced; terrible.

What sporting event was on ESPN-3D after the Fiesta Bowl?

I understand ther N3D broadcast a hockey game in 1080i SbS.

The HDMI 1.4a 1080 SbS 3D standard has nothing to do with the NTSC intgerlaced 2D standard.
