ESPN College Football in 4K!

Too bad this Saturdays RRR isn't in 4k HDR.

And too bad it's just for DirecTV...

Just saw a tweet from Chris Heinonen indicating that it will be native 4K but no HDR. Transmission bitrates will be 80 Mb/sec...

DirecTV is the 4k leader ! DirecTV will have all 4 live 4K events broadcasting all in HDR

I dont know of any other provider that has done 4 4K events at same time!

It's a niche market and someone has to help pay for it. I agree with what you said at the end though ;-) It would be nice to be in the ESPN app for the masses.

This is a start, but FANTASTIC !!! Good for ESPN, Directv and Samsung.

Dish network broadcast the Nebraska / Minnesota game on their 4K channel this past Saturday. I don't know the specifics of how they're doing 4K, but it sure did look good. So much better than the crud from Fox going through max Dish compression that I'm forced to watch most of the time.

Next ESPN/ Samsung QLED 4K game of the Week will be this Saturday. Oregon vs Washington. 3:30 ET. Available on Directv and Comcast.
