Ok after allot of pushing and shoving I finally get a unit!
heres a few pics, keep in mind light control is not easy in this room, the screen is a manual pulldown matt white 7 foot wide which is in front of double doors and windows, and its a hot summers day outside with the sun pelting in!
apart from that, the unit is as is out of the box, no cinema filter, and set to cinema mode, as I feel the fan is too loud in normal mode. When I first put the unit into cinema mode it seemed to go a bit reddish, but I havent played with the colour settings yet.
Before this PJ, I had sony CRT's, and I think the fan is in cinema mode about the same as my VPH-1251, and much louder when in standard or dynamic mode.
I hope this isnt too many pictures at once for low bandwidth users!

I have noticed my unit gives great results so far with SVHS and progressive component from my mid range DVD player playing PAL discs. The component is slightly better, but not "gee wiz" better.
I dont have DVI to hook upto it yet, thats on the list for Santa!
If anyone has any requets for anything let me know!
If anyone is after higher res pic's let me know, the camera is a 3.3 sony P71.
I rather like the memory stick functions on the projector, allready played a slide show, and I like being able to set my own splash screen! I never thought I would use memory stick on this thing!
And so far it appears pixel perfect! WOO HOO!!
