I found this DVD-A at Best Buy this week. Never heard of it. This is the first time I have seen it on display anywhere so it must have been released this week I am assuming...so it was a blind buy for me.


I like Mannheim Steamroller (MS) and I figured MS playing Disney tunes cant be all bad...so I bought it..... and I am thrilled I did!


This is a gem! The DVD-A 5.1 sound is awesome!! Great demo material. Great use of all speakers especialy the rears, and great panning effects. Essentially no LFE but super 5.1 music for all ages!


In my opinon, this is a must-have for all DVD-A fans! It also has a DD 5.1, DTS 5.1 and DD 2.0 tracks on the other side. Its a flipper.

I think the dvd-a came out a month or so ago, at least that's when I first saw it. I'm honestly not a big fan of the newer Mannheim stuff. I really wish they'd get around to releasing Fresh Aire's 1-5 and the first Christmas album on dvd-a. That was their best stuff. The newer stuff is just Chip and his synthesizer.

I guess the local Best Buys are slow to get new stuff on the shelf. I agree with you on the Fresh Aire series and Christmas material.


Nonetheless, this a great sounding DVD-A for $ 14.99!

Hear hear. Each of the first four albums or so had about 4 things I really liked. I could make one big mix-cd out of the whole bunch!! But the sounds he's (Chip Davis) into now with the sampled drums and everything kind of reek.
