Experimenting with HD formats

Greetings All -

I've got a KL-X9200, the 1024x768 LCD RP MOnitor and there is 0 (read, big fat zero) information on what it's VIDEO capabilities are.

So I'm curious, experimenting with HDTV resolutions through it's Y/Pb/Pr input shouldn't have any possibility of damaging the unit should it? The one review I've seen done on it said that it does accept 480p - but I'd like to try 1080i, 540p and, what the heck, 720p as well. (The set will downconvert, upto, 1280x1024 in RGB)

I have experimented in RGB with various resolutions and refresh rates, not to mention tweeked the colors within the service menu, so I have a little knowledge and am not afraid of the service mode. But I really don't know much about HD signals and even less about how this set handles them.

Thanks for any info (or even speculation) you can provide.
