Extended warrany on Mits 65813?

187 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Cliff Olson
Should I buy extended on a Mits 65813? The price is $450 for a 3 years. My credit card will automatically double the manufaures warranty, so that would give me 2yrs. Do the manufactors warranty usually cover in house on a RPTV?

One more question. I can either get a demo for $2850 for a new one for $3200. The demo is anywhere from 6-9 months on the showroom floor.

IMO, it's always a good idea to get an extended warranty for a RPTV. The manufacturer warranty does cover in-house (at least mine did, and I have the WS-65909). I'd spend the extra and buy a new one. Who knows how long the Contrast and Brightness has been cranked up to hight on the demo. Also, I'd recommend buying an extended warranty from GE. I paid $250 for 4 years of coverage, and bought it online (you can do a search).
