I have a Pioneer 49TXi receiver which does not have a 12 volt trigger output per se. I also am using an external amp connected to a Panamax 4400 protector/conditioner. The Panamax has a 12 v trigger input. I would like to use the receiver to "switch" on the Panamax so that the amp is turned on at the same time. Since the Pioneer cannot be directly used, i was thinking of using its switched 120v outlet to activate some type of 12 volt trigger relay to turn on the Panamax's switched outlets.

Where can I find such a trigger? I'm using some Xantech IR stuff, but not sure if they have the right trigger. Any suggestions?

TIA

How about a 12v wall wart plugged into the switched outlet of your Pioneer receiver? Put a 1/8 mini jack on the wall wart and you have a 12v trigger.

That's sounds like what I'm looking for. What's a wall wart exactly and where do I get one?

Thanks
