External HD case -- AV form factor?

292 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  mattsoft
Me, like a lot of people around here, have an HTPC that is the same basic form factor as AV stereo equipment. I have one of those HP Z5xx HTPCs, which looks very nice in my AV rack.

What I'd like to do is add more storage, perhaps 2-4 drives -- obviously this will have to be done in an external case. My question is, does anyone know of a case that would match other AV equipment, but only hold hard drives? Sort of like a Terastation, but in a nice case that you don't have to hide in the closet (which is my next option).

I guess I could rig something using an HTPC case, but I was hoping someone has seen something like this out there. Just a simple, slim, black aluminum case that matches the width of AV equipment that holds a few drives.

Thanks!
