It's a great idea however I don't think the ReplayTV software will allow for two recordings at the same time. The guide will tell you there is a conflict at that time.


I bought a 2nd showstopper so that I could do two recordings at the same time.

The second tuner doesn't help without a second encoder .

You read more into this than I intended! I am after this solution for myself so I can put my CATV, DirecTV *and* my OTA antenna all on the RP. I use CATV with no Box, so that'll go on the RF IN, I already have the Sat on the video/audio 1, and I'll put the output on this tuner on Input 2.

You're assuming that Replay can change channels on this tuner. You're better off getting a $5-10 cable box on EBAY that you KNOW Replay can control.

Doesn't your CATV signal include channels that you would get with OTA antenna?
